Funua is Swahili for “to open up, to reveal.” That is exactly what this place is for.
Everybody carries something: a secret they have never said out loud, a mistake they still think about, a truth that would change how people see them. Carrying it alone is heavy. Funua gives you a quiet corner of the internet to put it down.
How it works
- No sign-up, ever. You do not need an account, an email address or a phone number to share or to comment.
- No names. Every post appears as “Anonymous” unless you choose a nickname.
- Your photos are cleaned. When you attach an image we strip hidden location and camera data before it is saved, and we rename the file.
- Your post goes live straight away. Our moderators and the community keep Funua kind and safe. Posts that break the rules are removed, and posts with phone numbers or contact details are checked before they appear.
What Funua is not
Funua is not a place to bully, harass, or ruin anyone’s life. You can expose wrongdoing, but you may not name or identify private individuals, share someone’s photos without consent, or post anything involving minors. Read our Community Rules before you post.
If you are struggling
Some of what people share here is painful. If you are in crisis in Kenya, you can call Befrienders Kenya on +254 722 178 177, the Kenya Red Cross toll-free line 1199, or reach Childline Kenya on 116. You deserve support from real people, not just strangers on the internet.
Thank you for trusting us with your truth.
